80S VS 90S SHOWCASE 2020

In October, our first production of the 19/20 year was an 80s vs 90s themed showcase. This show saw the second years jump straight into roles they were experienced in, but with the new first years being coached on getting straight to grips with putting on a production in four weeks and learning the ropes equipping them ready to manage their panto next term. 

This showcase featured many hits from the 80s and 90s, including a boyband tribute of take that, as well as a popular dance from the hit show fame. The lighting for this show was inspired heavily off programmes like “Top of The Pops” and concerts in that time period where many coloured lights were used. 

There was eight radio mics used and a stereo PA system for audio. The stage set was two metres high at the highest point and the set designer, fabricated two large speakers to sit either side of the staging upstage as a point of focus to decorate the set which complemented the theme.
